INFORMATION FOR MIGRANTS
Assisted voluntary return and reintegration refers to returning to home country with the assistance of IOM and support for resettlement in the home country. The assistance is provided to third-country citizens (non-European Union and non-European Free Trade Association member states citizens) or stateless persons who are unable or unwilling to remain in Lithuania and wish to voluntarily return to their home country but lack the financial resources to do so.
IOM Lithuania voluntary return assistance includes:
- consulting on voluntary return
- assistance in processing travel documents
- organizing travel and purchasing travel tickets
- accommodation and meals before departure, if necessary
- medical assistance and medication, if necessary
- humanitarian and medical escort during travel, if necessary
- transit assistance, if necessary
- departure assistance on the day of travel
- one-time financial allowance (300 EUR)
IOM Lithuania reintegration assistance includes support for:
- starting and developing small business
- purchasing equipment, tools, and other work-related materials
- finding employment
- professional training, qualification courses, and educational programs
- finding temporary accommodation
- support for rental expenses for living or business premises
- childcare and education
- healthcare services and resources
- other assistance upon returning to the country of origin
IOM Lithuania voluntary return and reintegration assistance is free of charge and provided only once.
